I am a 4th generation Methodist clergy person who has lived in Northern Illinois since I was 4 years old. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 1983 with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts (Psychology major) and was only one course short of a double major in Business/Accounting. Prior to entering ordained ministry, my professional work experience was in accounting and residential real estate.

My pastoral ministry began as Pastor of Davis/Rock City United Methodist Churches in the Rockford District in December, 2000. While serving this two point charge full time, I pursued and completed my Master of Divinity degree from University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in December, 2004. I served as Pastor of Waterman United Methodist Church from 2005-2009 and most recently as Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Morris since 2009. I was ordained as Elder in Full Connection in 2008. Currently, I am completing my second year in the Doctor of Ministry in Preaching Program through Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary.

I have two grown children and three grandchildren, I love being a Mom and a Grandma. I also love to read novels and go to movies.

My most favorite Bible story is the Emmaus story in Luke’s gospel. The risen Christ joins the disciples on the road to Emmaus listening to the story of their broken dream – Jesus’ arrest, death and the empty tomb – and then he fills them with joy as they recognize and experience the risen Christ as he breaks bread! With hearts on fire, the disciples run all the way back to Jerusalem because they couldn’t wait to tell others that our Lord is risen!!! My prayer for us is to meet, recognize, and experience the risen Christ in our journey together and with hearts on fire, serve Jesus in the world.
